35:30

Well, not a bad time for someone who didn't train for the race. I just knew I could finish...somehow:)

Great to see all of the folks who participated and how well organized it was. Met a 53 year old woman who was a newbie to racing as well. It was nice to share the stories of - why this one? Why now? The time is right for me - and I see this can be very addicting. Sometime today or tomorrow I will search for my next race and train this time and BEAT my 35:30.

I loved the open air, but a bug got in me - so I am red eyed and sneezing a bunch today - but at least my muscles are not sore:)

MY FIRST RUN

is this Sunday, November 9th. Am I ready - not from a working out stand point but if I do walk a minute run a minute - I think I'll be alllllright.

The cause is for arthitis. My brother passed away over 10 years ago from complications with his medicine (he had rheumatoid). So no matter what kind of shape I'm in physically - my heart will make it to the finish line - for my brother Douglas H. Daye

YES - WE DID!

I called my father at 11:45 to hear his voice. The joy and the tears poured out from the Alabama born man who is now 77 living to see this day. "I wish your mother could have seen this. Now boo boo can be president," my father said with cheers of people streaming in the background.

There is an extra spring in my step. Later I will somehow capture all that I feel and share - til then - who did you call? first speak to? think about?

FOR THIS DAY.....

It's here - at last - a time for change - what can you change for yourself if you had to start today?

November 5th

Will you be taking off? Will you be making a new President to do list? I've been hearing how low productivity will be that day no matter which way the final vote goes. I will be at work - that I can tell you- sorry but niether Obama or McCain gave me that day off - what I'll be thinking.... not sure yet - guess it will hit me then...

Monumental Age

Ok so I am holding on to my 30's by a string - a short string but I ain't there yet! I plan on racing my tail off starting this November 9th - A 5k in Glen Burnie. The cause?- towards Arthritis (helping people with it not helping me have it:) There's a lot of meat and meaning in this one for me as I SLOWLY (hush now) enter my 40th year...better body....better mind.

What's a monumental year to you? How did you embrace it?
